The Crystal Ship
Mural in Oostende
A space where two worlds meet and together become something that neither could have been on its own.
This artwork depicts the moment when curiosity leads to encounter. Two forms move towards one another. In their meeting, a new space emerges—a symbiosis in which difference is not a barrier but the very foundation of connection.
The forms symbolise apparent opposites: day and night, light and darkness. What first appears to stand in opposition reveals itself, at its core, to be deeply related. The work invites the viewer to remain open to the unknown. For it is precisely in the encounter with the other that something new can come into being.
